Anytune: Practice Perfected App Reviews

This is for the developer. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew that providing a demo was worth every penny it took to produce it. As a learning player, I looked at this app here in the store and could not see a reason why I’d need something like this. However, I got the demo from your site anyway and tried it out on Three Dog Night’s Shambala. I was surprised by what this app could do and with such high-quality sound too. There’s a funny note in that song that you can sense at full speed, but you’d never in a million years believe it until you literally hear it at a slower speed. Your demo sold me. I never would have spent the money here at the store had I not had the opportunity to experience what words alone could not describe so thanks for that and keep up the great work on this app. I gave it 5 stars just for its sound quality and slow-down features alone. Everything else is icing on the cake. My only request is to make the interface more intuitive. The buttons are kind of small and aren’t immediately understandable in all cases.

Great App

This is an amazing app..use it all time to transcribe jazz solos and riffs. Making a version for the Mac computer just made my life better. Thanks

Truth - I have gotten better in the last 24hrs than I have in the past week, all because this program is SO EASY to grab a song, change the key to match my sax music and slow it down to where I can play it perfectly…… then 5% by 5% improving speed until I have it down at 120%. THANK YOU! Helps tremendously! I was up playing after midnight…. Now I need an app that will give me more time. :) —— 2 weeks later - still LOVE IT!!!

I play covers in a local bar band and this app makes my life soooo much easier when trying to learn certain passages. Also, we are always tuned a half step below standard. Since I installed AnyTune, I no longer have to change tunings when practicing… I just set AnyTune to play the songs that I’m learning to the correct pitch. AWESOME!!!

As a professional musician and a professional guitar teacher for over 20 years, this program makes life a lot easier. Ive previously used the amazing slow downer for many many years, and this program is a serious step up. I would highly recommend it for anyone.

This does what it says it does. Quite well I may add. If you want to learn a song, this will slow it down and let you play it in a different key. This is good stuff here. Get it and start to practice those new songs, and add the lyrics if you want to sing. It takes a bit to line up the lyircs to the music, but it works well.

I took up the fiddle a few months back and got Anytune Slow Downer around the same time. It’s been a huge help in my progress on the new instrument. I love the looping feature where you can speed it up a notch each time you loop through the section of the song you’re practicing. A great app for learning a new instrument, and for learning songs and licks. Highly recommend!

This app helps you to break down your practice into smaller pieces. On complex songs with lots of leads it is great to be able to add labels and loop any section of the song. I have not had any problems with any of the features and everything works as advertised. There is a moderate learning curve to learning how to use the program, but you are going to have that with ANY fully featured product. I highly recommend this and will continue to use this product in learning new songs.

And by the way, I would like to be able to leave the Tunes list permanently displayed, rather than having to go to View > Tunes List every time I want it to appear. That’s only a minor inconvenience, and one I can live with.

Works great for transcribing audio files. I use the various preset eq’s to isolate various instruments from the recordings, and the section markers help a lot to know where you are in the song. Transposing the file up an octave really makes it easy to hear bass lines. Thanks!

This is one awesome tool for practice…I have it on my Mac as well as my iOS devices…..each update just makes things better…..no excuses for learning your part now…..

At last, all of those CD’s I bought can really be helpful while learning the mandolin. I can finally slow down songs enough to nail down the tune and then gradually speed it up without fumbling around. It is easy enough for someone who is not that skilled with using computer programs to work and songs load easily from different media. I am very grateful to the authors of this app. Thank you!!!

I’ve tried several apps that transpose and had very little luck. This application will transpose and maintain good sound quality. If you play in a band that frequently covers songs in different keys than recorded, this app will be a lifesaver.

I like this app very much. I use it to dig out both piano and guitar music, and it is totally functional and capable. It’s pretty easy to catch on and start using it. Thank you, dev, you made a good tool, indeed. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to hear what’s going on in quick licks. BTW, I also use the IOS version, and it’s great too! Nice work! Thanks again!
